Charlene Uhl, Director of the Office of Budget and Resource Analysis. Served as the Director of the Office of Budget and Resource Analysis at the University for almost six years. Retirement celebration was February 22, 2018

Cliff Coleman, Head of Apple Store at campus Bookstore. 20 years at UMBC.  Retirement celebration December 18, 2017.

Arthur Johnson, Professor and Provost. 38 years at UMBC, in the Political Science Department and as Provost.  Retirement celebration was December 6, 2017

Joe Tatarewiczs, Professor.  Over 20 years at UMBC. History Department faculty member and Director of the Certificate Program in The Human Context of Science and Technology. Retirement celebration December 6, 2017.

Marv Mandell, Professor and Department Chair. 33 years at UMBC, especially in the School of Public Policy, which he chaired. Retirement celebration was December 5, 2017.

Cindy Kubiet, Director of Sports Medicine. 37 years at UMBC. Served as the athletic department’s head athletic trainer/director of sports medicine for 27 years. Retirement effective June 30, 2017.

Dorothy (Dottie) Caplan, Executive Assistant II to  the Dean of the College of Natural and Mathematical Sciences. 20 years at UMBC. Started as a secretary in the College of Arts and Sciences and moved to the College of Natural and Mathematical Sciences when it was established in 2005  Served as Non-Exempt Staff Senate (NESS) President. Retirement celebration June 22, 2017.

Tom Beck, Chief Curator of the Special Collections and Library Gallery. 43 years at UMBC. Began at UMBC as a lecturer in the Visual Arts department and soon after was appointed the founding Curator of Photography in the Library; served as Chief Curator and Head of the Special Collections department. Retirement celebration on May 22, 2017.

Tom Seidman, Professor. 45 years at UMBC as Professor of Mathematics and Statistics. Retired in January 2017 Retirement celebration May 17, 2017.

Joyce Tenney, Associate Director of the Library. More than 40 years at UMBC. Served as Acting Director of the Library, 2014-2015. Graduated from UMBC in Ancient Studies. Retired in April, 2017.

Diane Lee, Professor and Vice Provost & Dean of Undergraduate Academic Affairs. 30 years at UMBC. Honored as a Presidential Teaching Professor; served as a Vice Provost and then as the founding Dean of Undergraduate Education; and oversaw or established signature UMBC initiatives such as the First Year and Transfer Seminars. Retirement celebration was February 20, 2017.
