Ikebana workshop (Japanese Floral design)

Yasuko Walcott, a retiree from MLL, is a certified instructor from the Ohara School in Japan.  The designs are minimalist,  You will need greens/stems from your yard, a couple of flowers, little branches, and  dried pieces.   They should have some length to start with so they can be cut.  You will need a container with metal frogs, if possible.  We will have some containers and greens available.  Yasuko said she "never met a weed she didn’t like!" The workshop will be at Joan Costello’s in Catonsville.  Please contact Joan with any questions at jcostello@umbc.edu. A  more detailed list will be sent to you once you have registered.  The workshop will be held from 11 am to 1pm.  Feel free to bring your lunch and eat at Joan’s or try one of our Catonsville restaurants.  Drinks will be available.  It will be a fun workshop.
