The 3rd Annual Signature Event featured a virtual conversation with authors Freeman Hrabowski, Philip Rous, and Peter Henderson about The Empowered University: Shared Leadership, Culture Change, and Academic Success.
This book opens with a heading, “It’s about Us.” Unlike most books by college presidents and provosts who typically write from a position of authority about their accomplishments, this book really is about us, that is, all of us who have worked to make UMBC the wonderful campus it is today. We had the opportunity to discuss and reflect upon the values, vision, challenges, and successes that created UMBC and made it the prestigious university it is today.
